Solo Penny Pride Ride

How Do All,
Last year at this time I went on the London Pride Ride to show my support for the freedom to be whom ever and what ever you choose to be, and to be with and love whomever you wish to.
The ride was great fun and I met some awesome people.

This year I am suffering a cold so did not go into London and join the ride, but I did however go for a short ride around Heathrow and found my own little rainbow to ride under and show my support, whilst making quite an attraction for the travellers going in and out of Terminal 5, Heathrow airport.

Here's a couple of pictures from my mini, solo Penny Pride Ride.

A rainbow of umbrellas, but not a drop of rain in sight!

The First Open Dutch Penny Farthing Championship weekend.

How Do All,

On the weekend of 11th-12th of May 2019 I was privileged to have been able to attend the first ever, Open Dutch Penny Farthing Championship race, and tour of Zaltbommel Hosted by my friend, the outgoing and ever lovely Arie Liefhebber!

Riding on the tour of  Zaltbommel.

Arie goes all out to put on the best events you could ever wish to attend, with free camping, free food, even free and specially brewed Hoge Bier, brewed especially for this event.

In my element, and enjoying it just a little too much! with Peter Semler in the first heat in which I came first.

I won't waste your time with lines and lines of  text about how fantastic it all was etc, my words would not do the event justice! so instead I'll just show some pictures and give some links to other articles and photo albums of interest.

2nd in the final and overall. this was a second take of the prize giving as Sadly Bruce Walsh and I never made it to the podium as Bruce fell and broke his hip dismounting his bike after finishing the race, and the above photo was taken after the Ambulance left.
